Get started

Build the shortcut on Windows, install it on iPhone, then tell iPhone when it should run.

1. Install Shortcut Forge on WindowsSign in with the same email you use on this iPhone.
2. Build your shortcutFor message automations, choose Text under Receives input and Run normally or by automation under iPhone access.
3. Sign and stage itSelect Sign & stage for iPhone. Wait for the success message before returning here.
4. Install it on iPhoneRefresh the receiver, download the shortcut, open it from Files, and approve Add Shortcut.
5. Create the Message automationOpen Shortcuts → Automation → + → Message. Choose the sender or message rule and select Run Immediately.
6. Run your imported shortcutAdd Run Shortcut to the automation and choose the shortcut you imported. The incoming message becomes Shortcut Input automatically.

Important: pressing Play inside the shortcut editor does not provide an incoming message. Test by sending a real message that matches your automation.

Share Sheet shortcuts

If you selected Show in Share Sheet on Windows, you can also select text in an iPhone app, tap Share, and choose your shortcut.
